The 2012 Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad, will be held in London, United Kingdom from 27 July to 12 August 2012, followed by the 2012 Paralympic Games from 29 August to 9 September. London will become the first city to host the modern Olympic Games three times, having previously done so in 1908 and 1948. The Olympic Park is mainly located in Newham, East London. In this borough, it is planned to construct the most of sports facilities such as the Olympic Stadium (which will be designed for 80,000 spectators watching the competition).
